Ed Lucero – CCO (Chief Cow Officer)
Ed operates and manages day-to-day operation on the farm with an emphasis in cow comfort and health. Besides being a loving husband and influential father, Ed is bilingual and manages labor supervision and procedural controls. With a degree in veterinary science and over 30 years experience in the dairy industry, Ed brings great knowledge to Morning Star’s operations.
Christa Lucero – CEO (Chief Everything Officer)
Christa grew up on the farm before going to college in Wyoming to obtain a veterinary technician degree, where she met her husband Ed. With a warm spirit and great love for the farm Christa’s responsibilities include: organic vegetable producer/marketer, oversees production of raw milk from the cow to the bottle, answers incoming calls, and most importantly serves as the glue that holds the family together – CEO.
Mitch Lucero – UFO (Universal Financial Officer)
The son of Ed and Christa, Mitch focuses on continual business improvements while administering Morning Star’s finances and marketing efforts. Mitch holds a business degree from Whittier College and an MBA from Northwest Nazarene University. Holding true to his roots, Mitch has a great passion for agriculture and sustainable farming.
Other Employees
The vitality of the operation is sustained by all members of Morning Star Organic Farm. Other employees include milkers, calf feeders, equipment operators, irrigators, and office staff.
